The Requirements
To be a good fit for the Quality Assurance Analyst opportunity, you will have:- A bachelor's degree (preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a role requiring critical thinking and attention to detail; a background in medical billing/coding, claims review, accounting or finance would be helpful
- Computer literacy, including basic familiarity with Excel, Word and Outlook; advances skills are a plus Quick question for you - click here
- Experience in quality review/assurance is preferred
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology and coding is a plus
- Experience in a lead position is preferred but not required
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with little direction
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A team player approach with enthusiasm for and commitment to the company vision and mission
The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, you will join a team of six QA Analysts at varying levels. You will be responsible for conducting a quality review of all Equian external documents, internal process review and reporting quality assurance results. You'll also conduct research as required to support audit exceptions and resolve issues. Quick question for you - click hereDocuments will include reports, appeals letters, referrals and others. Reviewing will include a variety of activities, such as:
- Ensuring the right template and wording is used for each client
- Proofreading and ensuring the accuracy of names, dates and other facts
- Double-checking calculations
- Ensuring the documents include the right types of exhibits, and that the exhibits and correct
- And more.
- Conduct quality reviews of all eligible Equian external documents, to include forensic reports, appeal responses and calculations, and reports delivered to clients and providers
- Complete miscellaneous production-related tasks as required for support including scanning records, processing triage forms and processing referrals
- Performing research to support quality review findings and exceptions, and resolve issues
- Perform research to create new exceptions and business rules, and suggest process improvements
- Understand and maintain HIPAA confidentiality and privacy standards when completing assigned work
- Participate in department and company meetings as requested
- Complete special projects as assigned
